Who am I?
Hi, I’m Jenny Claire, the Registered Counsellor (HPCSA) behind Jenny Claire Counselling. I have a passion for assisting individuals, couples, and adolescents to improve their overall well-being.
Jenny Claire Counselling provides a calm, confidential online space where you can explore what you’re going through at your own pace—without any judgement or pressure.
How Can I Help
I provide accessible mental health support tailored to your current situation, focusing on short-term assistance to enhance well-being. Sessions are typically conducted online via Microsoft Teams. I use psychoeducation to help you understand your emotions and build resilience in a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space. I also offer basic psychological screenings to identify needs and facilitate professional referrals if specialised care is required. Additionally, my blog posts and resources offer psychoeducation and help maintain mental health.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like more information.

Why Online Counselling?
Receive the same level of professional support from the comfort and privacy of your own home. With no travel time or waiting rooms, you have a secure, confidential space to talk. All that is required is a reliable internet connection and a private space where you can use your camera and microphone comfortably.

What to Expect
My approach is focused on short-term, supportive interventions tailored to your current needs. Whether you require individual counselling or couples counselling, I aim to assist wherever I can.
A Professional Partnership: I provide a non-judgmental space rooted in evidence-based psychological principles and person-centered therapy. If your needs require more specialised care, I will provide a professional referral when necessary.
The Initial Session: We will discuss your current challenges and what you hope to achieve. This is a collaborative process where we identify clear goals for our time together. You are in control of the sessions, and you are welcome to guide how you would like the sessions to go.
Online Convenience: Sessions are held via a secure, confidential video platform, allowing you to seek support from the comfort and privacy of your own home. This is also to assist those with travel restrictions or those with busy schedules. If you are someone who travels regularly but would like a counselling routine, online counselling might be the best for you.
Professional Bio
I hold a Master’s in Cognitive Neuroscience (with Merit) from the University of East Anglia (UEA), UK, and a BPsych (Honours) from the South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP). With experience with individuals, families, and couples, I focus on preventative and developmental counselling that empowers my clients to manage their mental health proactively.
